Sarah McCracken

Sarah McCracken is an associate attorney at Tobener Ravenscroft.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego in 2011 and graduated magna cum laude from UC Law SF (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law) in 2016.  During law school, Ms. McCracken served on the Hastings Law Journal, clerked for the Northern District, and co-founded a women’s organization on campus.  After graduating, Ms. McCracken clerked for a magistrate judge in the District of Nevada.  She then moved to public interest litigation, representing low-income tenants and low-wage workers for six years, including at Centro Legal de la Raza.

Ms. McCracken has assisted with various local policy campaigns to strengthen tenant rights. She was particularly instrumental in strengthening rent ordinances in Hayward and Alameda. Numerous news outlets, including the Guardian, have covered her tenant rights work. Ms. McCracken is fluent in Spanish.  She is a member of the Edward J. McFetridge American Inn of Court.
